The Traveling Sound Museum

A2 JAZZ FEST presented the the Traveling Sound Museum project at Odindi Freedom School (5/15/25) and Ypsilanti Community Middle School (5/22/25). The Traveling Sound Museum is a cross-community, intergenerational, STEAM learning opportunity, open to ALL!! The aim of the Traveling Sound Museum is to share the excitement of science and music throughout Washtenaw County by offering fun, multi-generational and community-wide learning opportunities that engage all learning levels with food, friendly competition, and prizes!!

This exciting community learning opportunity was supported by Ann Arbor Hands On Museum, who provided awesome science exhibits that taught us all about the physics of sound; delicious food and drink donated by Blue LLama Jazz Club, CupsNChai and Maiz followed by a multi-generational instrument-making contest.
